Day 1 Dublin - Cork
We will meet at the statue of Oscar Wilde in Merrion Square in the heart of Dublin city. Our first day on the road departs Dublin at 9:30am and we head to Cork, stopping off briefly at the Rock of Castle to stretch our legs. On the way you will receive the first training materials and video tutorials to prepare you for todays practical exercises. Day One is all about smartphone photography.
We will explore the features of your smartphone camera for street photography, portraiture, time-lapse, slow motion, hyper lapse and slow shutter photography.
“The device in your pocket is more powerful than the supercomputers of a decade ago, when smartphones were introduced, yet you are likely only scraping the surface of the potential of your smartphone as a content creation tool” - Glen Mulcahy, Founder, Mojofest
Photowalk with multi-award winning photographer Brendan Ó'Sé
While in Cork we will meet up with our first special guest contributor...
Cork native Brendan Ó Sé is an award-winning fine art photographer/iPhone photographer and the iPhone Photographer of the Year, 2017. Brendan was part of the original Apple World Gallery of images shot on iPhone 6 in 2015. His mobile photography workshops in Ireland are very popular and he has also given workshops in places such as Cyprus, Iceland, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Using the iPhone he tries to see and create in unusual ways and this results in some unique imagery and striking street photography.
We will spend our first overnight in Cork and you will have some time to explore the city, the you are welcome to join us for an informal dinner (not inc. in package) and after, weather permitting, we will hit the streets for some after dark time-lapse and slow shutter photography.
